Is CarBinder free?+
The core binder is free — no account, no sign-up. Add your vehicles, log services, set reminders, attach receipts, and export your data without paying anything. There's an optional CarBinder Pro upgrade for power features (unlimited vehicles, PDF resale reports, advanced insights, and OCR receipt scanning). Either way, your data always stays yours and stays exportable for free.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. There's no sign-up and no login. You open the app and start adding vehicles.
Does it work offline?+
Yes. CarBinder is built local-first on on-device storage, so the core flows work with no internet connection at all.
Where is my data stored?+
Everything stays in a local database on your phone — vehicles, service logs, receipts, costs, VIN and plate included. There's no cloud account holding your records.
Can I move my data to a new phone?+
Yes. You can export a JSON or CSV backup from the app and import it on another device. Exports are always something you start.
What happens when I sell a car?+
Mark the vehicle as sold and it keeps its full history. You can also generate a privacy-safe resale report to share with the buyer.
Is CarBinder on iPhone and Android?+
It's built for both. The official App Store and Google Play links will appear here as soon as the listings go live.
